Our Story

My Race Mats is a proudly Australian family owned business created for mums, dads, children, boys and girls, race fans, and motorsport families who live and breathe speedway and sprintcar racing. Built from a love of loud engines, fast cars, and weekends spent at the track with friends and family, My Race Mats was created to bring the excitement of speedway into everyday life at home. What started as a simple idea quickly became a personal project after creating the very first My Race Mats for my two boys, and seeing their imagination come to life through racing play proved that this was something special worth sharing with families across Australia.

Speedway has one of the most passionate fan bases in motorsport, yet most speedway merchandise for children has traditionally been limited to clothing, hats, and small souvenirs. While these are great for supporters, they do not give kids a hands on, screen free way to interact with the sport. At the same time, mums and dads are looking for durable, safe, and educational play products. My Race Mats was created to fill that gap by offering racing inspired memory foam play mats that combine fun, safety, learning, and long lasting quality for young race fans.

Our mission is to inspire the next generation of speedway, sprintcar, and motorsport fans by giving children a fun and imaginative way to explore racing at home. The track inspired designs encourage children to create their own race stories, plan their own events, and build thinking and problem solving skills through creative play. Watching my own boys become completely immersed in their make believe speedway world continues to drive our passion to share that same exciting play experience with other children and families.

My Race Mats also exists to support the wider speedway community, including speedway tracks, speedway teams, and drivers. Tracks and teams deserve merchandise that stands out, builds loyalty, and creates meaningful connections with fans. Through our custom designed racing mats that feature real track layouts and team branding, we help clubs offer a unique product that families, children, and race fans can use and appreciate for many years. These collaborations give speedway fans the chance to take a piece of the track home with them.
